Performances, Concerts, Eisteddfods & Competitions

At Yue Dance Academy, we believe that performance is a vital part of every dancer's development. It allows students to showcase their skills, gain confidence, and experience the joy of being on stage.

We proudly offer a range of performance opportunities throughout the year, including:

  • A highlight of our calendar, the annual concert invites all students to perform in a professionally staged production that celebrates their progress and achievements. This is a wonderful opportunity for families and friends to see the growth of our dancers throughout the year. Date and venue to be confirmed for 2026. Please note, that Tiny Tots will not be included in the concert but will be performing in the mid-year studio showing.

  • Selected students are invited to participate in local and regional eisteddfods, either as soloists or in groups, across styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop.

    • Students involved in eisteddfods are required to attend additional competition group classes or take private/semi-private lessons for appropriate preparation.

    • These groups compete in Terms 2 and 3 at local eisteddfod events.

  • For our more experienced and dedicated dancers, we provide tailored coaching and support for entry into national ballet competitions. Participation is by selection only and is designed to challenge and inspire students aspiring to advanced or pre-professional pathways.

  • We also aim to perform at community festivals and special showcases throughout the year, offering students more opportunities to perform and share their love of dance with the wider public.

  • Participation in eisteddfods and competitions is by invitation or audition. Students are supported every step of the way by our experienced teachers and choreographers, ensuring they are technically prepared and emotionally supported. While we celebrate strong results, our primary focus is on personal growth, teamwork, and a love for performing.
